County and City hosting virtual Housing & Homelessness Townhall SessionWyoming, ON – The County of Lambton and City of Sarnia will host a virtual Housing and Homelessness Townhall Session on Monday, June 3 from 10 until 11 a.m.
Applications being accepted for Affordable Housing Seed Funding ProgramSarnia, ON – The Housing Services Department is accepting applications for a new Affordable Housing Seed Funding Program, which provides grant funding to assist with the planning costs of building new affordable housing projects.
Subject to Council approval at the September 6, 2023 meeting, the program will provide up to $200,000 per approved project, up to a maximum total of $500,000 for all approved projects in 2023.

The Stronger Together: Collaborating for a Vibrant Community summit brought together over 170 individuals from a variety of organizations related to housing, homelessness, and addictions.
Applications Being Accepted for Renovation and Homeownership ProgramsSarnia, ON - The County of Lambton is accepting applications for the Lambton Renovates and Homeownership Down-Payment Assistance Programs.
The Lambton Renovates program provides one-time financial assistance for home repairs, and the Homeownership Down-Payment program offers one-time financial assistance in the form of a 20-year forgivable loan for a 10% down payment to be used towards the purchase of a new or resale home.
Federal and Provincial Funding Received for Modular Housing Project in SarniaSarnia, ON - The County of Lambton has been awarded $1.3 million in funding towards the affordable housing project at 993 Maxwell Street through the Canada-Ontario Community Housing Initiative.
