Council Highlights, April 2, 2026

Wyoming, ON – At its regular meeting on Thursday, April 2, Lambton County Council:

  • Heard a presentation from Michelle Davis regarding supportive housing and the concentration of services in one area of the City/County.
  • Discussed an Information Report from the Social Services Division regarding an Overflow Shelter Update.
  • Discussed a letter from Paul Dubé, Ombudsman of Ontario, advising that the Office of the Ombudsman has completed its investigation into a complaint regarding a closed meeting held by Lambton County Council on May 7, 2025, and that the meeting did not contravene open meeting rules.
  • Passed a motion reaffirming Lambton County Council’s commitment to working with local First Nations on social and economic issues, and reconciliation.

Council will next meet at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The meeting will begin with a Closed Session, if necessary, followed immediately by the Open Session.
