Council Highlights - June 3, 2026
Wyoming, ON – At its regular meeting on Wednesday, June 3, Lambton County Council:
- Heard a presentation from Ms. Marina Sloutsky, Senior Associate, Org Code Consulting and Mr. Chris Gorman, Senior Associate, Org Code Consulting, on the County of Lambton 10 Year Housing and Homelessness Plan 2026 – 2035.
- Received updates from the Cultural Services Division regarding improvements being made to the Wyoming Administration Building lobby.
- Received an update from the Social Services Division regarding the County of Lambton 10-Year Housing and Homelessness Plan 2026-2035 and the Division’s 5-year Action Plan (2026-2031).
- Received an update from the Public Health Services Division on Physical Activity and Active Transportation in Lambton.
- Approved the Cathcart Affordable Housing Project Funding Strategy from the Committee of the Whole meeting that took place on Wednesday, May 20. The Strategy includes that no less than approximately $16.44 million of other levels of government funding is to be secured by July 31, 2027, before proceeding with the housing development.
- Received notice of Deputy Warden Agar’s Motion regarding the implementation of a flashing stop light at the intersection of Bentpath Line and Ontario Highway 40, that will be considered at the July 2, 2026 Council Meeting.
Council will next meet at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2026. The meeting will begin with a Closed Session, if necessary, followed immediately by the Open Session.
