Council Highlights, May 6, 2026
Wyoming, ON – At its regular meeting on Wednesday, May 6, Lambton County Council:
- Heard presentations from:
- Tim Welch and Frazier Fathers of Tim Welch Consulting regarding Lambton County Housing Needs Assessment.
- Brad Zantingh, President of Windcliff Group, regarding County land needs for the County of Lambton Official Plan.
- Held the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of The County of Lambton Community Development Corporation (CLCDC) where its by-laws were amended to revise the composition of the Board of Directors and define eligibility criteria and term limits for Directors serving as Chair and Vice-Chair.
- Heard an update on County Road 79 (Nauvoo Road) rehabilitation work.
- Accepted and adopted the Lands Needs Assessment Report dated March 31, 2026, for land use planning purposes within the County’s ongoing Official Plan review; and
- Recognized Councillor David Boushy and his years of dedication to the public service of his community ahead of his announced retirement to take place at the end of Council’s current term.
Council will next meet at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The meeting will begin with a Closed Session, if necessary, followed immediately by the Open Session.
