Council Highlights - October 1, 2025

Wyoming, ON – At its regular meeting on Wednesday, October 1, Lambton County Council:

  • Heard a presentation from Delegate Integrity Commissioner, Rebecca Hines, Senior Associate with Hunter Legal LLP, regarding the Integrity Commissioner Report for Code of Conduct Complaint 2025-01 dated September 23, 2025.
  • Passed the recommendations made by the Delegate Integrity Commissioner, regarding the Integrity Commissioner Report for Code of Conduct Complaint 2025-01 dated September 23, 2025.
  • Endorsed the resolution contained within correspondence from Donna Delvecchio, Acting City Clerk, St. Catharines regarding the Elect Respect Pledge campaign.
  • Appointed Councillor Dave Ferguson to the Board of Directors for the Lambton Agricultural Hall of Fame for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
  • Endorsed the resolution contained within correspondence from Jeff Smith, Municipal Clerk, Township of Woolwich that requests that the Province of Ontario continue to study the impacts of the Strong Mayors legislation.
  • Authorized staff to continue the moratorium on any new capital grants for the 2026 County Budget as a response to controlling and containing costs in the upcoming 2026 Budget.

Council will next meet at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. The meeting will begin with a Closed Session, if necessary, followed immediately by the Open Session.
