County hosting community consultation for future housing development

Sarnia, ON - The County of Lambton’s Housing Services Department is hosting a community consultation event for a future housing development at the former St. Bartholomew’s Church property on Cathcart Blvd. within the City of Sarnia.

Neighbours are encouraged to attend the community consultation event on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church (1465 Lecaron Avenue, Sarnia).

Participants will hear a presentation from housing staff, including an overview of preliminary draft considerations for the site. Currently, there are no approved projects for the site.

Following the presentation, feedback will be collected through tabletop exercises led by a third-party facilitator. Input received from the event will help shape the plan for the site that will be presented to County Council for review and approval.
