Indian Road rehabilitation project starting July 6

Wyoming, ON – A section of Indian Road (County Road 29) in the City of Sarnia is scheduled for rehabilitation beginning Monday, July 6, 2026, with work set to take place between Kathleen Avenue and Exmouth Street.

The project, awarded to GIP Paving Inc., includes curb repairs, manhole, valve, and catchbasin adjustments, milling the existing surface asphalt, and hot mix asphalt resurfacing to improve roadway conditions and provide a smoother driving surface.

Through traffic is permitted during construction and access to businesses will remain open while work is completed. Motorists in the area should expect delays and temporary lane closures as work is underway. To help reduce disruptions, some work will be completed during the overnight hours.

Work is anticipated to take approximately two months to complete, weather permitting.

Motorists are advised to follow all traffic control signage and to drive in a manner that respects the health and safety of road crews.
