Mooretown Library to temporarily close during Mooretown Sports Complex renovations

Wyoming, ON – Mooretown Library will temporarily close beginning Monday, September 7, 2026, due to unforeseen impacts associated with ongoing renovations at the Mooretown Sports Complex.

The County of Lambton was recently advised that the project will impact access to and operations of Mooretown Library, also located on the second floor. As a result, the library will temporarily close following its final day of public service on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

The closure will remain in effect until access to the library can be safely restored, which will be dependent on the progress of the Mooretown Sports Complex renovation project.

During the closure, Mooretown Library's collection will be temporarily relocated to other Lambton County Library locations so materials remain available for patrons to borrow.

Patrons are encouraged to use any of the other 23 Lambton County Library locations during the closure, with Corunna, Courtright and Brigden libraries being the closest alternatives to Mooretown Library.

A reopening date for Mooretown Library will be determined as the renovation project progresses. Updates will be shared with the public as more information becomes available.
