Oil Museum of Canada offers Trick-or-Treat event Cackling Cauldrons on October 31

Oil Springs, ON – The Oil Museum of Canada, National Historic Site is pleased to announce the annual trick-or-treat event Cackling Cauldrons will take place this year on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Offering family-friendly Halloween fun for all ages, Cackling Cauldrons is an opportunity for children to show off their costumes, trick-or-treat through the historic buildings on the museum grounds, and take part in Halloween-themed activities. Families can make silly and spooky crafts, try witch hat ring toss, and bob for apples on a string.

“We’re excited to once again offer this unique seasonal event here at the Oil Museum of Canada and having the event fall on October 31 makes this year extra special,” said Christina Sydorko, Educational Program Coordinator with Oil Museum of Canada. “Cackling Cauldrons offers families the chance to explore the museum grounds from a new perspective, while engaging in traditional Halloween activities like trick-or-treating, dressing up, and making memories together.”

Thanks to a generous sponsorship with Pembina, this event is free to participate in, and no registration is required.

Visitors can extend their Halloween fun by attending the Village of Oil Springs’ Children’s Halloween Party from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Oil Springs Youth Centre for games, popcorn and candy bags.
