Public input sought for updates to County Housing and Homelessness Plan
Sarnia, ON - The County of Lambton’s Social Services Division is updating its Housing and Homelessness Plan to guide local decision‑making and set clear goals that will help address housing and homelessness needs in our community.
Part of the update process includes a public survey to collect community input on experiences and opinions on housing and homelessness across the County.
The survey is available online at lambtononline.ca/hhplan until Friday, February 13, 2026, and will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. The survey is confidential.
“We renew our plans on a regular basis to ensure they accurately support local strategic planning and establish outcome-based goals to address housing and homelessness needs for our region,” said Melissa Fitzpatrick, General Manager, Social Services. “Public feedback through this survey is important. We want to ensure we are capturing the views of citizens throughout the entire County to make sure the Plan updates are reflective of current needs.”
Survey results are being collected by OrgCode Consulting Inc., who are assisting the County in updating the Housing and Homelessness Plan.
The updated plan will be shared with County Council in late spring 2026.
