Emergency Preparedness Week
Emergencies can happen at any time, often with little to no warning.
As Emergency Preparedness Week (May 3-9) approaches, watch for messages from agencies and organizations in your community about how you can prepare to keep you and your loved ones safe, if disaster strikes.
- Know the risks: where you live, work, and play.
- Make a Plan: list emergency contacts, evacuation routes, and meeting locations.
- Assemble a Kit: pack essential survival items for you and your family for at least three days.
- Plan for Pets: put together an emergency kit for your pets.
- Stay informed: sign up for Sarnia-Lambton Alerts, follow your municipality online, and listen to the radio for updates.
