Oil Museum Plans New Exhibit with Support of Alix FoundationWyoming, ON - The Oil Museum of Canada National Historic Site is undertaking a major renovation to improve the visitor experience, thanks in part to the generosity of The Judith & Norman Alix Foundation.
Plans include the development of new museum exhibits and interactive learning experiences, improved visitor amenities, interpretation and signage.

County Offers Cultural Services Online, Prepares for Library Curbside PickupWyoming, ON - While Lambton County's cultural facilities remain closed to the community under provincial order in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, online services continue to be offered, and preparations are underway to offer curbside pickup at libraries in the coming weeks.
Lambton County Library, Lambton Heritage Museum, Oil Museum of Canada, Lambton County Archives and Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery all offer a wide array of online services and resources to help keep residents of all ages.

Lambton County Cultural Facilities Closed Indefinitely in Response to COVID-19Wyoming, ON - In response to the ongoing public health effort to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, cultural facilities that are operated by the County of Lambton initially scheduled to re-open on April 6, 2020 will remain closed indefinitely.
Cultural facilities that will remain closed include all Lambton County Library locations (including the Sarnia Library Theatre), Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery, Lambton County Archives, Lambton Heritage Museum and Oil Museum of Canada.

County of Lambton Closes Its Libraries, Museums and GalleryWyoming, ON - As a precaution to help limit the spread of COVID-19 and support the efforts of Lambton Public Health to promote social distancing, the County of Lambton Cultural Services Division has decided to close all of its cultural services facilities, effective end of scheduled hours Monday, March 16 through to Sunday, April 5.
This closure impacts all 25 Lambton County Library locations (including the Sarnia Library Theatre), Lambton Heritage Museum, Oil Museum of Canada, Lambton.

Public Programs at Lambton County Library, Museums and Gallery CancelledWyoming, ON - The County of Lambton Cultural Services Division has cancelled all public programs scheduled at its cultural services facilities, effective March 14 through to Sunday, April 5 as a preventative action in response to the emerging COVID-19 situation.
The Bridgen and Grand Bend library locations will also be closed during this same period, as these branches are located within elementary school facilities that have been closed by the Lambton Kent District School Board.
