Lambton County Measures Experiences of Discrimination in the Area
Sarnia, ON - Throughout the month of March the Sarnia-Lambton Local Immigration Partnership (SL-LIP) has collaborated with Forum Research Inc. and the University of Western Ontario to develop a survey with a focus on the experiences of discrimination in Lambton.

Eligibility Further Expanded for Emergency Child Care ProgramSarnia, ON - The Province of Ontario has further expanded the eligibility list for the Emergency Child Care Program for school-aged children, which was introduced to support health care and front line workers during the extended school closure.
"We're pleased to see the list of eligible essential workers extended further," said Melissa Fitzpatrick, Manager, Homelessness Prevention and Children's Services.

Expanding Emergency Child Care Program for School-Aged ChildrenSarnia, ON - To support health care and front line workers during the extended school closure, the emergency child care program for school-aged children has been extended and expanded.
The province has extended the program until January 22, 2021 and has expanded eligibility for the program to include more frontline workers.

Developing a Reopening Strategy for Childcare CentresSarnia, ON - The Social Services division is working closely with Lambton Public Health and local childcare operators to review new Provincial guidelines and develop a reopening strategy for childcare centres in Lambton County.
On Tuesday, June 9, the Ontario Premier announced that all childcare centres could reopen as early as this Friday, June 12.

All social assistance, housing, homelessness prevention and children's services will be available by phone or email.
