Emergency Child Care Program for School-Aged Children of Frontline WorkersSarnia, ON - On Monday, January 3, the Premier of Ontario announced that, in an effort to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, all schools in the province will revert to remote learning effective Wednesday, January 5, 2022, for a period of at least two weeks.
To support health care and frontline workers, the Ministry of Education has implemented a targeted emergency child care program for school-aged children only (ages 4 -12 years), at no cost to eligible parents, until schools reopen for in-person.

- Heard that 214,403 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Lambton County, as of Wednesday, December 22.

Provincial Vaccine Supply Update: Third Dose Walk-In Clinic added for 70+ in ForestPoint Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health (LPH) has been notified by the province that future orders of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine are temporarily delayed, so our remaining Pfizer supply needs to be prioritized.
Beginning Tuesday, December 21, in stock vaccines will be distributed as follows:
- Residents aged 12-29 years old will receive the Pfizer vaccine as recommended by the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (while supplies last).

Lambton Public Health Prioritizing Third Dose Boosters for 70+Point Edward, ON – In an effort to shield our most vulnerable and provide an extra layer of protection against COVID-19 and its variants (including Omicron), Lambton Public Health (LPH) is increasing opportunities for third dose (booster) vaccinations to individuals 70 years of age and older in the next week.
To date, 12,000 booster shots have been administered to the residents of Lambton County with an additional 13,000 booked appointments at upcoming LPH clinics.
