Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health (LPH) will continue to monitor the pandemic situation and modify services and internal operations in order to support the COVID-19 response effectively. The office will be closed Monday, February 15, 2021 to observe Family Day.

Emergency Control Group Update - February 10, 2021Wyoming, ON - The County of Lambton Emergency Control Group met Wednesday, February 10 to discuss updates in the current COVID-19 situation. The group will meet again on Wednesday next week to discuss new developments and planning requirements.
Lambton COVID-19 Immunization Task Force Update – February 9Point Edward, ON – The Lambton COVID-19 Immunization Task Force met Tuesday, February 9 to discuss updates to the COVID-19 vaccine rollout plan in Lambton County.
At this meeting, the Task Force:
- Heard that Lambton Public Health (LPH) received two small shipments of Moderna vaccine on Friday, February 5 and Monday, February 8, for a total of 700 additional doses.
Cold Weather Alert Issued for Lambton County - February 9, 2021Point Edward, ON - Lambton’s Medical Officer of Health has issued a COLD WEATHER ALERT for Lambton County based on the latest forecast from Environment and Climate Change Canada predicting the temperature to meet the threshold of -15°C overnight Tuesday.
The alert is expected to remain in effect until Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
Multiple Outbreaks Declared this WeekendPoint Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health (LPH) is investigating multiple outbreaks at one workplace, one institutional workplace, and one Long Term Care home, all declared on February 6. LPH received the laboratory-confirmed positive COVID-19 test results for three staff at the workplace, one inmate at Sarnia Jail, and one staff member in the Long-Term Care division of Vision Nursing & Rest Home.
Preparation for a Safe Return to Schools in Lambton CountyPoint Edward, ON – The recent provincial announcement to return to school for in-class learning is a welcomed step forward in Lambton County. Lambton Public Health supports this transition and reminds the community that we all have role to play to make it sustainable.
