Lambton Public Health issues advisory regarding increase in suspected opioid toxicity (2)Point Edward, ON – Due to recent reports of potential increase in toxicity of unregulated drugs, Lambton Public Health (LPH) again recommends actions to prevent opioid-related overdose or poisonings:
- Don’t mix with alcohol or other drugs,
- Don’t use alone,
- Know the signs of an opioid overdose,
- Carry a naloxone kit.
Reports indicate there is an increase in risk of opioid-related overdose or poisoning, that may be linked to two newly detected substances circulating in Ontario as reported by Oct 15, 2025
