    Sarnia, ON - The Court Services Department will be relocating back to their permanent location at Lambton Shared Service Centre. This move will take place effective January 3, 2023.

    Election of 160th Lambton County Warden taking place December 7, 2022

    Wyoming, ON – The election of the Warden and Deputy Warden for the 2023-2024 term will take place on December 7, 2022 at the inaugural meeting of Lambton County Council.

    The Warden serves as the Head of Council for The Corporation of the County of Lambton, while the Deputy Warden serves to assist the Warden when required, both for a two-year term.

    Renovated Lambton Shared Services Centre celebrates re-opening

    Sarnia, ON – The County of Lambton held a re-opening celebration for the Lambton Shared Services Centre on Wednesday afternoon, hosting a ceremonial ribbon cutting and tours for local partner organizations and members of the media.

    In 2020, Lambton County Council approved a 20-year lease agreement between the County of Lambton and Seasons Retirement Communities, the current owner of the property, with one of the stipulations being the renovation of the Lambton Shared Services Centre.

  • Local Immigration Partnership working with UWO to conduct research on discrimination

    Sarnia, ON - The Sarnia-Lambton Local Immigration Partnership (SL-LIP) is collaborating with the University of Western Ontario and other LIP’s in Southwestern Ontario to conduct research on discrimination experiences of immigrants and racialized people in the region.

    Immigrants and racialized persons who have experienced discrimination in the workplace, in a public space, or by a local authority in the last three years are invited to participate in a virtual interview with researchers at Western.

    Oil Springs, ON – The Oil Museum of Canada, National Historic Site is pleased to announce that they were presented the Award of Excellence in Exhibitions, by the Ontario Museum Association (OMA).

    The OMA presents awards in several categories, all of which celebrate museums across the province that demonstrate outstanding contributions to the Ontario museum community with an emphasis on innovation, advancing the museum profession in Ontario, and encouraging high standards of excellence in the museum.
