Lambton COVID-19 Immunization Task Force Update – February 9Point Edward, ON – The Lambton COVID-19 Immunization Task Force met Tuesday, February 9 to discuss updates to the COVID-19 vaccine rollout plan in Lambton County.
At this meeting, the Task Force:
- Heard that Lambton Public Health (LPH) received two small shipments of Moderna vaccine on Friday, February 5 and Monday, February 8, for a total of 700 additional doses.

Cold Weather Alert Issued for Lambton County - February 9, 2021Point Edward, ON - Lambton’s Medical Officer of Health has issued a COLD WEATHER ALERT for Lambton County based on the latest forecast from Environment and Climate Change Canada predicting the temperature to meet the threshold of -15°C overnight Tuesday.
The alert is expected to remain in effect until Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

Multiple Outbreaks Declared this WeekendPoint Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health (LPH) is investigating multiple outbreaks at one workplace, one institutional workplace, and one Long Term Care home, all declared on February 6. LPH received the laboratory-confirmed positive COVID-19 test results for three staff at the workplace, one inmate at Sarnia Jail, and one staff member in the Long-Term Care division of Vision Nursing & Rest Home.

- Discussed the fixed site locations intended to host public immunization clinics throughout the County, which include the Point Edward Arena/Optimist Club Community Hall, Wyoming Fairgrounds, and Forest Kimball Hall.

Staff Member Tests Positive for COVID-19 Virus at Lambton Meadowview Villa - January 28Petrolia, ON - The administration team of Lambton Meadowview Villa learned today that a staff member has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
People living in the long-term care home and their families were notified of the positive case today, and informed that as a result, Lambton Public Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak in the Home.
