  • Age-in-place with Sarnia-Lambton and Caredove

    Point Edward, ON - Lambton County residents can now access home and community care supports they need to remain independent, supported and healthy at home thanks to Caredove, a new online referral management network.

    Lambton Public Health (LPH) and Lambton Elderly Outreach (LEO), in partnership with Caredove, launched the referral network to streamline access to community supports and health services that allow residents to "age-in-place.

  • Keep wells safe during flood conditions - May 2019

    Sarnia, ON - Lambton Public Health encourages residents with private wells to test their water supply as soon as possible if their well has been flooded.

    Recent high-water levels and flood conditions, caused by rain, could allow harmful bacteria to enter the drinking water supply rendering the water supply unsafe for consumption.

  • Rabies vaccination clinics (1)

    Point Edward, ON - Several low-cost rabies vaccination clinics will be held across Lambton County beginning the end of March and continuing into May.

    The clinics are open to all cats and dogs, three (3) months of age and older.

  • Cold Weather Alert extended for Lambton County

    Point Edward, ON - Lambton’s Medical Officer of Health has extended a COLD WEATHER ALERT for Lambton County based on the latest forecast from Environment Canada that predicts the temperature to meet the threshold of -15°C.

    The alert is expected to remain in effect until Wednesday.

  • Cold Weather Alert issued for Lambton County - March 2019

    Point Edward, ON - Lambton’s Medical Officer of Health has issued a COLD WEATHER ALERT for Lambton County based on the latest forecast from Environment Canada predicting the temperature to meet the threshold of -15°C overnight tonight.

    The alert is expected to remain in effect until Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

  • Snow Removal: Be a part of a community that cares

    Point Edward, ON - Whenever the snow arrives, Age-Friendly Sarnia encourages everyone to be part of a Community that Cares by shovelling snow for a neighbour or fellow community member. Snow removal was identified as a priority in the Age Friendly Sarnia Committee's 2017 Action Plan.

    Point Edward, ON - Lambton’s Medical Officer of Health has issued a COLD WEATHER ALERT for Lambton County based on the latest forecast from Environment Canada predicting extreme cold temperatures beginning overnight.

    The alert is expected to remain in effect until Friday, February 1, 2019.

    Point Edward, ON - Lambton’s Medical Officer of Health has issued a COLD WEATHER ALERT for Lambton County based on the latest forecast from Environment Canada predicting the temperature to meet the threshold of -15°C overnight on Saturday.

    The alert is expected to remain in effect until Monday, January 21, 2019.

  • Lambton Student Nutrition Program thanks Noelle's Gift

    Sarnia, ON - Thanks to a $28,000 donation from Noelle's Gift, 40 schools that provide a Student Nutrition Program in Lambton County will be able to purchase healthy food to feed more than 8,100 students every school day.

    "Additional food funding for schools means more fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grain and milk products will be available for students whenever they need it," said Leslie Palimaka, Health Promotion Assistant at Lambton Public Health.
