This investigation is separate from the investigation announced on Friday, March 14 and includes close collaboration with the Ontario Ministry of Health, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA), and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to contain, monitor, and respond to the situation.

Actions you can take to prevent opioid-related poisonings include:
- Don’t mix with alcohol or other drugs,
- Don’t use alone,
- Know the signs of an opioid overdose, and
- Carry a Naloxone kit.
