Second mosquito pool tests positive for West Nile VirusPoint Edward, ON - Test results received today by Lambton Public Health confirm mosquitoes collected from a trap located in Corunna on August 23 tested positive for West Nile virus (WNV).
The presence of WNV has already been confirmed in Lambton County after a mosquito pool in Wyoming and a crow in Sarnia tested positive earlier this season.

Local crow tests positive for West Nile VirusPoint Edward, ON – Test results received today by Lambton Public Health confirm a dead crow found in Sarnia's north end in late July tested positive for the West Nile virus (WNV). This is the first positive finding in 2018.

County welcomes new General Manager, Social ServicesWyoming, ON - Valerie Colasanti is joining the County of Lambton as General Manager, Social Services effective August 27, 2018.
Colasanti comes to the County from the Municipality of Chatham-Kent (Chatham-Kent) where she has served for nearly 30 years, including most recently as Director, Employment & Social Services for the last 15 years.

Lambton Public Health searching for dog that bit girlPoint Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health is seeking information about the location of a dog and its owner following a dog bite incident that occurred around 2:40 pm on Thursday, July 5th in front of the post office in Corunna.
The dog, described as a large black and white Great Dane bit the girl while walking past the girl on the sidewalk.
