Beach water quality monitoring begins for 2024Point Edward, ON - Lambton Public Health will begin the 2024 beach water quality monitoring program on Monday, June 17 at public beaches scheduled for monitoring across Lambton County.
Predictive beach-water sampling and water sample analysis will be used to determine if beaches are safe to access.

Registration open for Lambton County Library’s 2024 Summer Reading ChallengeWyoming, ON – Registration is now open for Lambton County Library’s free annual Summer Reading Challenge, and this year the library is challenging the community to read 40,000 books.
The Summer Reading Challenge runs from Tuesday, July 2 to Sunday, August 11, is available to people of all ages, and incentivizes people to read and take part in free activities and games for a chance to win prizes.

First Heat Warning of 2024 issued for Lambton CountyPoint Edward, ON - With the prediction of hot and humid weather expected for today, June 17, and Tuesday, June 18, Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a Heat Warning for Lambton County.
Heat warnings are issued when two or more consecutive days of daytime maximum temperatures are expected to reach 31°C or warmer and nighttime minimum temperatures are expected to sit at 20°C or warmer or when two or more consecutive days of humidex values are expected to reach 40°C or higher.

Lambton Heritage Museum hosts art installation Hope and Healing in CanadaGrand Bend, ON – Lambton Heritage Museum will host an art installation by Métis artist Tracey-Mae Chambers as part of her Hope and Healing in Canada series. Heritage Sarnia-Lambton launches Passport Challenge for summer 2024Wyoming, ON – Heritage Sarnia-Lambton, a network of eight local museums, invites visitors to celebrate 175 years of Lambton County history by participating in the Heritage Sarnia-Lambton Passport Challenge this summer.
Throughout June, July, August, and September, residents can visit all participating Heritage Sarnia-Lambton museums, correctly answer a trivia question, and collect a stamp/sticker at each site.
