Avian influenza confirmed in additional poultry flock in Lambton CountyPoint Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health (LPH) is investigating a second confirmed report of H5N1 avian influenza in birds within Lambton County in 2025. This investigation is separate from the investigation announced on Friday, March 14 and includes close collaboration with the Ontario Ministry of Health, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA), and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to contain, monitor, and respond to the situation.
